| Q:
How many photographs do you normally take at a wedding?
A:
I do not have a limit on the photos I take, which allows more
freedom for creativity. I take as many as necessary to cover
your entire day. This allows me to get exactly what you're looking for
in your wedding albums for posed photos with all family/wedding
party as well as candid and romantic/creative photos of
the bride and groom.
Q: Do
you book more than one wedding on the same day?
A:
No. Once a date is booked, you have me for that day. I only book
one wedding at a time so I can devote as much time as necessary
to both of you and your photos.
Q: How
much time should we allow for our formal photographs? Should we
do them after the wedding ceremony?
A:
This is probably one of the most important questions and the
most underestimated. Try to allow lots of extra time for
unexpected things. Weddings are hectic and sometimes things
don't go exactly as planned. So allowing the extra time for the
'unexpected' will no doubt leave you more relaxed at the end
your day.
If you
have enough time, try to schedule the formal photographs between
the ceremony and reception. You
should allow about 2 hours between the ceremony and reception.
For instance if the wedding is at 4pm, then having the reception
at 6pm is good. Or even better would be to have the reception at
7pm. This allows lots of time for those much loved formal
photographs with family and the wedding party along with
intimate shots of the bride and groom alone. It also allows
enough time to get all the shots you want without being rushed
to get to the reception.
If there is not
enough time to do the photos in between the ceremony and
reception, we may be able to schedule a time before the wedding
ceremony for the bride and groom photos, and then between the
ceremony and reception we can do all the formal shots with
family and the wedding party.
So allowing
lots of time will leave you more relaxed, as well, you'll have
much better photos when the photographer is not rushed *S*
Q: We're not
sure what we would require for photographs. Can you help us
decide which photos to take for our wedding?
A: Of
course. Just send an email to me with a little information about
the two of you, why you choose your wedding dress, etc, what
people you want in the photographs. I have list of suggestions
which I can send you.
Q: How
many locations can we go to during our photography session if
our wedding location isn't very photogenic?
A: We
can go to any location in the Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview, and
Shediac areas as time allows for the package you chose. For
instance, if you have booked the half day package, then we have up
to 5 hours for photographs.
Q: Our
wedding is being held outside of your areas mentioned. Would you
still be able to photograph our wedding and would it cost more?
A:
Depending on the wedding date, I may be able to go outside of
the normal areas. Traveling cost would be above the wedding
package price.
Traveling
expenses are estimated as to what I would pay to travel to
your wedding; hotel, gas, food, etc.
Q: Do you
shoot film or digital? Can we have our choice?
A: I
shoot digital for weddings, however if you wish to have your
wedding photographs created on film, I have a backup film camera
that I can use for your wedding. You just say the word :)
Q: Do you
require a deposit in order to reserve our wedding date?
A:
I normally require a minimum of $150 - $400 down in advance of
your wedding in order to reserve the date you want, depending on
which package you choose. The balance is to be paid at least 2 weeks before the wedding day.
If outside
traveling is involved, the full payment is required at least 1
month before the wedding date.
Q: How long
does it take for us to receive the photos?
A: Where
I shoot digital, it takes anywhere from 1 week to 6 weeks
depending on how large your wedding is (how many photos were
taken), and if it is in the busy season. Usually I will have your online proofs ready for you to
view and choose the ones you want within 1 to 2 weeks of the
wedding day. I will email or phone you with a web link to view
your online proofs. Each photo will have a number with it for
you to choose which ones you want for your prints and
enlargements.
Q: How
much notice do you require in order to reserve the date we want?
A:
That depends on the time of year. A minimum 5 to 6 months or
more in
advance would be normal. More time may be required if
it's in peak season (summer and autumn). However if you are in a
rush, I may be available to photograph your wedding in as little
as one months notice if I do not have another wedding on that
date. Contact me as soon as possible to work out the details.
Q: Do
you shoot colour or black & white? Can we have our choice?
A:
I normally shoot in colour, however if you specifically ask me
to shoot only in black & white for your wedding, that's no
problem as long as I know ahead of time.
Also any
photograph/s taken at your wedding can be transformed into black
& white later for your prints. |
